Sorry i'm a Blu Ray kinda girl..  and as an added bonus my 'Blu-Ray' player also allows me to take out 14yr old boys online in Call of Duty 4.  Let's face it homicide is bad, but sometimes you still want a frag your boss, thankfully now with online capabilities, YOU CAN!  Let's see your HD-Dvd player do THAT!!  GO SONY!!!!!   ha ha ha.

My xbox360 has an HD-DVD player in it... and it lets me frag peeps in Call of Duty 4. So there.
