Hello,

Can someone tell me how to properly measure or what the rim width size is for a 2003 Monster 620 dark ie?  I would like to know if I have the 5.5 inch rim.

thanks

Unless it's been changed it's a 4.5".

Properly measuring it requires removing the tire, probably not what you want to do right now.  :-\

on car rims there's usually the rim size/width on the casting. hmm never noticed if my bike has em on it.

like my truck is 17x7JJ or something like that.

That takes all the fun out of it.  [laugh]

I seem to recall that some of the OEM rims aren't marked, but that would be odd.
On the OEM wheels I've got here, it's cast into one of the spokes.

AFAIK, it's a Euro 2-3 and DOT requirement for the size to be stamped on a wheel, along with the spec it complies with.  The weird "JWL" logo that's cast into 99% of wheels is the Japanese version of DOT which, I believe, is the most stringent spec in the world, so it trumps all the others.
Alternatively, you could measure the outside of the bead.  If it's >5.5", it's a 5.5.  If it's between 4.5 and 5.5 , it's a 4.5"  If it's < 4.5, you're hosed.   ;D
