...suck.
I just bought a pair and had a low speed get off yesterday due to some gravel in the road. I had just installed frame sliders on my Triumph so no damage to the bike or to me but my left glove tore right through on the palm.
Anyone had good experience with ICON gloves? I may go there next.

can't say I'd trust tex gloves for street. had a pair of the smx for a little while when I first started riding.

for a short cuff a*, the SM-S has been fantastic for me the past several years  [thumbsup]

hell, my moto gloves are leather...

I had A* gloves with the carbon knuckle protector... took a look at the "gear that survived or failed" thread, saw an identical pair that ripped right through the palm seams in a parking lot drop, not even a street-speed getoff.  Before mine were "tested", I promptly went and bought a pair of Dainese Hellracers.  I love those gloves.  If you want a shorty glove, Dainese makes a non-gauntlet version of the Hellracer, I just can't remember the name of it off the top of my head.

Oh hey, if you have a camera, please take some pics of the failed A* gloves and post it in the gear that survived or failed thread.  [thumbsup]  That kind of product review and experience is what adds incredible value to the community.

I have the merc long gloves.  They feel pretty damn solid.  I don't wear them on a regular basis since they're a pain to get on and off.  Main problem is there is no ventilation so they can get warm.  Other than that, I recommend them.

The alpine stars have a leather palm but it appears to be just one layer. Sorry I don't have a digital camera to post up a pic.

I'm an idiot. SP-S are the gloves I got now.  [roll]

double leather/kevlar sandwiched palms... hope to never find out how well they'll hold up in a slide
