Looks a bit more high tech then my methodology! But mine held    up for days on end...

I have about five stands in my shop that I've made -- all support via the rear bolts as usual.  Great idea though you had for using the front horizontal cylinder -- I think I'll modify two of mine for this additional mount as well.

Excellent work.  Inspiration for my beginners welding projects  .  I found a cheapo electricly actuated hydraulic pump at a pawn shop the other day I may pick up to play with.
