Drool Indeed. How long does a race only 125 go between rebuilds? I'd imagine a thumper to be a DIY kinda thing in this reguard, so long as parts are readily availble and not too expensive.

If it's track only...

why the lights, mirrors, and plate bracket?

not that it really matters. ;D

that's not a race-only 125... that's aprilia's rs125 street bike.

because it's a 2-stroke street bike that aprilia either doesn't want to to hassle with, or can't, get approved for street sale in the US.

They just used the pics from the production version in the EU I imagine because Aprilia hadn't released marketing guff yet.

Man that looks cool.

If I didn't weigh 220 lbs in leathers it'd be on my want list. I can see it now, lined up waiting for a green flag, revs up to 8000 or so, the flag drops I lean forward ease the clutch out.... and... nothing but smoke and the smell of burning friction plates. [laugh]

It does look killer though.

Hotness indeed!!!  That is one nice looking bike.  [beer]

I talked with a local Honda 125GP bike rider, he said the maintenance was fairly intense, but it was very specific on intervals.
Follow the replacement intervals, all was OK.
Stretch it, and things broke right on schedule.  :P

But that's not the Aprilia.

Then again, talk to RS450 folks about maintenance.  [laugh]
