For those that remember I recently damaged my bike in an accident.  Anyways, with much support from the DMF community I ended up bringing her back to operating condition by replacing the clutch cover and ended up installing the MV Brutale handlebars.  I really don't know what I would have done without the support so thanks to all.  A huge thanks to Valley Ducati Service, California Cycleworks, Monsterparts.com, and last but not least He-man; these guys really came through. Anyways some info on the Brutale bars

First Impressions:
The bike is ten times more comfortable for me (I am short) and I should have addressed this issue earlier. With these handlebars you really have to lean forward and work for every turn if you want to "carve" but I like that and I had sever neck pain issues so this mod was perfect.  It definitely does not handle as tightly in the bends; specially exits.

Install:
This bar has the same back-sweep measurement as the OEM bar but is about an inch or so higher.  No extension of any of the wiring or lines was needed to install the Brutale handlebar!.  The only thing is that you have to drill two holes because the holes that are pre-drilled are not in the correct location.  One hole is for the high/low beam and turn signal switch and the other is for the throttle cable housing.  For the high/low beam switch I just put some nail polish (can use white-out as well) to make the mark for drilling.  The other hole for the throttle housing goes a couple hairs right above the pre-drilled hole.  Also you must get the right-hand grip for the monster (not MV).  Another thing you might want to do is loosen the banjo bolts a tad and turn them downwards.  Another member on this site did this mod and he had to reroute his throttle cable but I didn't have to do that.  Also there is a pre-drilled hole in the middle of the MV handlebar which can be covered with a Speedy Moto top clamp or a decal.  Lastly, the bushings for the OEM bar end weights will not fit the MV handlebar.  I just used the MV bushings with the Monster end weights.  If you are a shorter rider you really don't need to put up with the discomfort even if you are used to it!  ;D

Here are some pics.  I decided to get revenge on the damage done to my bike by powder coating the triples among other improvements.

Well, I don't really have a camera.   I'll see what I can do, but no promises.

hes not kidding. They have those small $19.99 ones with keychain loops you can buy at places like duane reed that periodically end up in cereal boxes.

The point is that for $20 you would be able to record things about your bike, think how a pic would improve this post, and illustrate the communication.

This post is worthless without pics.

$6.  You can get similar ones in any Target or Best Buy for $10-20.  I had one a while ago.  Not the greatest camera but it took good pics in decent light and was smaller than the palm of your hand.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty pristine body, but rather to come in sliding sideways all used up screaming F*CK YEAH WHAT A RDIE!!

Nice work [thumbsup]

I want black triples too!

What have you done to the tank cap - paint, CF stickers, what? Or is it black as stock?

BTW, when your Grip Puppies slide down - you can carefully roll them upwards/inwards and then place them further in, little by little, as you roll them back out. I did that and now they stay where they should stay.
