Wow, from 2 Corvette lovers down here in Burleson, we are very sorry to see this.  Hope you feel better.....   :-\

Thanks T&B  [thumbsup]

I hope I feel better too.  I've made a tough decision and won't be going on the HC ride.  My back continues to gradually get more tender as the night goes on.  Riding on the twisties of the Three Sisters certainly won't help me relax it properly.   :-\

Glad to hear you are ok and taking it in stride (with sense of humor intact).

Those cars can definitely get twitchy. After a get-together, someone with a Z06 peeled out in front of my buddies and lost control...right into a ditch/ravine...the car didn't plunge another 15 feet down because a small tree manage to keep it on the edge...

Dammit dude - you ok?  Those pics hurt worse than my make the beast with two backsing ribs! (spoken from someone who learned to drive in a 78 silver anniversary vette and has driven almost every model from 58 - 06 - my dad still races vettes but he hasn't let me drive the race car....yet  [bang]) Seriously though - don't even sweat it Jim - you bought it to drive it, right?  Go on to Hill Country and have a blast!!!   :-*

Thanks for the encouraging words, B.

Just don't feel like taking a chance with a back injury.  Proper care now can be the difference between long term chronic problems later down the road.  3-4 days of riding isn't what most chiropractors would classify as "proper care".  :'(

Yeah, got to respect the power. Just got too complacent and made a stupid judgement that cost me.  Fortunately didn't cost anyone else - I consider myself very lucky in that regard.  Over 60,000 miles behind the wheel of that car and never had something like this happen.  I should know better, dog gone it!  [roll]

Ok, I won't ask you why you guys weren't at the Saucer tonight. Hope  you're feeling better soon. Remember the meds when you go down to THC.

Yeppers, I had a '78 Hi-Po too. They can sure get away from you in a quick. I'd say about 15-20k or a new one.

What is it with the Karma  around us these days?

Please, everybody be oh so careful on the ride this weekend. I don't want to hear of any more accidents.

Wow!!  :o

Glad you're ok Jim. That was total "Dukes of Hazzard" / "Smokey & the Bandit"! Was there a little part of you going "YEEEEEHAAAAW"

You could still kick back and relax at K.R. headquarters. Honestly, you shouldn't be at home worrying about the details of the wreck. That'll only agitate your tender back. You need R&R my friend. You woudn't need to ride to have fun as you know. Do you have a hot tub at home? Surely you won't have gallons of beer at your disposal.

Seriously... glad you're ok man.  [thumbsup]

Flying Saucer?

I thought someone said Flying Corvette and took them literally!  I wish I'd read more closely!
