Looks like DMG & MIC got together, pulled their heads from their asses and started cooperating. From quickly glancing at the rules and classes for next year, I think we may indeed have some decent racing.

I'm glad to see they'll still have a superbike class. I can see where they're trying to impose cost controls and "parity", but there's still alot to change/upgrade on the bikes.

The SuperSport and MOTO-ST (now MOTO-GT) will be interesting. The new SS class, full of young guns, may be some of the best racing to watch each weekend. I don't know about MOTO-ST though. Endurance racing is pretty cool, but oftentimes like watching paint dry.

What? Edmondson said in the article that they received assistance from MIC. Do you mean that some of the factory teams will still sit out next season?

They had worked together, but the manufacturers wanted more, so they could well walk away still.

Honestly, the rules package doesn't look that bad. Spec Gas and Spec tires for SBK. Big deal.

MOTO-GT sounds like an interesting experiment, and Daytona Supersport seems to include the machines that sell the best on the showroom floor, so it could be ok.

The MIC can't have a rules package put together that could be used for next season, so it's either the DMG or a repeat of SBK and SS from last year (I'm guessing the manufacturer would ditch Superstock and FX)

If I hear Edmonston say "increased safety, parity and cost containment" one more time I think I'll barf.  [puke]

Looks like a decent rules package.

I would definitely agree with that.
