ummm...my bike.  because it's awesome like that.  it'll be even awesomer when it's running below 270 on the highway.

mine ran hot last summer the first time i saw 290 i freaked. stopped called ams-a and stuart said if the light don't come on don't worry.

i don't know...i'm not sure i like that policy.  when it's melting the clutch cover window...i'm thinking something is too hot

Aya, I totally agree with that....

Mine got over 300 before--no melted parts, and I was told the same thing as Chris. this is one of the reasons why I use the 20w - 50 V Twin.

AMS changed my oil to Motul 15w-50...didn't know what was used prior to this.  Maybe going to Mobil 1 MX4T 10w-40.

That didn't work so well on my 620...

You should not have had to take it off The 620, it doesn't have a plastic cover....does it??  ???

Rich modify your cover by removing the plastic cover and and grind off the screw holes where it mounts, then it will be really open!  [thumbsup]

The 620 and S2R800 are wet clutch bikes, which is too bad cos I'd love to have that open clutch cover rattle on my 620  [thumbsup]

open er up and it'll rattle for sure!  but it probably wouldn't run much longer after the initial chatter...  [cheeky]
