Who all is going and do we have a route figured out?

cdc
can maybe do a Sunday ride, need to get a good feel for the Monster before November 2nd track day.  I don't think Bonnie will be well enough to ride.  I'm probably out tonight and Saturday, I gotta be a better dad.  Its wife and kids time for me this weekend.  Hope you all have fun tonight.  And apparently I'll be dieting....I don't know Eagle Canyon's or Ty Howard's rules so I am going to have to squeeze into some size 58 Dainese leathers (thats a sad statement)

They're on their way to Burlyville !  [thumbsup] And many thanks. I now know what I have to do in the gear department.

Ok, here's what I'm thinking about. Anyone want to post an alternative please do.

Meeting at the STarbucks @ 377 & I-20 @  early around 7:15-7:30, tires rollin @ 8:00am then:

377 S. to FM 51,
S. to Hwy 67,
W. to 2481/3106 intersection w/67 turn right,
N. to Bluffdale,
left on 377 a mile or so to right on 1188,
N. on 1189 to Lipan.
At this point in the day one can decide if they want to zoom back up to I-20 N. on 1189 or
take a right on Hwy 4 back into Granbury,
then left on E. Pearl to 426/377 intersection then
back to Benbrook @ 377 & I-20.

Looks like lots of twisties and sweepers from Google Map and satellite aerials. Not sure on the milage or time but who cares. Some really fun roads is what it looks like to me.

Has anyone done this route before? CDC, I know you have a route in that area, can you post up yours?
It's all good.
Thanks,
RED

Man, oh man, if I can at all make this ride I will.  It all depends on when the MiL (Mo-in-Law) leaves tho...  I think by 8am Sunday may be pushin' it, I'm sorry to say.  But, who knows?  Keeping my fingers crossed  [evil]  Y'all ride safe, k?  No more of this crashing bullshit!!!!!

I think that T had a good idea, push it back to to around 9-9:30. That way more peeps might be able to make it. Thoughts?

The other thread was a mistake. it's gone.

The route looks good to me as I have been waiting to hit the dinosaur - Granbury area. Have not been there since the 60's.  Early is fine to get started, but later may mean more Ducs and  warmer temps.   ;D

I like the meet better too, but just where is the SBs (they have their own section in the phone book)?

Wow CDC, I need a better map than this Streets & Trips 2002!  Looks like a great loop to me. [moto]

According to Streets and Trips, starting at 377 and I20, folowing CDC's route until Glenrose, then 114 to Granbury, it is 3hrs 11min with no stops.  With this as a basis, it all looks good to me.
Thanks CDC [clap] [coffee]
I just need to find the starbucks on 377 & I20.

Not looking good for me as far as being able to make this ride tomorrow.  If something changes, I'll post.

Y'all have fun (and keep the rubber-side down!)   [evil]

BarneePhife

Just wanted to chime in here (since I've been MIA for a few days following "the accident").  I'm not going to make this Sunday ride.  Y'all have fun though!

Dan,

You're killing me.

I'll be at the SB around 9AM.  If Lisa can come we can wait for her.  We can go to Granbury for lunch if we are running behind and continue on the Glen Rose after lunch. Do you guys need to be home early or something?  If we start late and just go to Granbury, we'll be back in Fort Worth before 3PM.  If we get to Glen Rose then we'll be home before 5PM more or less.  Bring water.

I'm free all day (that's what she said), so I am open (see previous caption); I'll put on my tank bag with H2O.  I hope the gas stations don't have lines like they have in Burleson for the last two days - flashback to the 70's gas "shortages".

I'll be there early Charlie, glad you are back.

Dan B. signing off until manana.
