starting problems...again

+1  If you ask for advice, it might be to your advantage to pay attention to it.

actually going all the way back to the first post. it was cranking but not turning over. after that it stopped cranking.
with the bad wires and plugs and then killing the battery trying to start it.. seems like the problem is found. as far as the addition o fht enew battery, sounds like it was never fully charged.

Well, I now know that the plugs and wires are contributers. I have to order the wires though. FYI - I couldn't tell if shorting the solenoid was still actually intermittent cranking or me having trouble holding the screwdriver well enough to short it. With that said once the wires get here I'll go back to somebastid's suggestions of taking it one at a time in an orderly fashion.

My apologies if I've been over zealous or giving the impression of not following advice.

Well folks, after a bad battery, accidentally discovering bad spark plug wires, and finally confirming a bad solenoid...I am back to  [moto]
