We just got home with everything unloaded and taken care of!

Stopped off at "the offending" mechanic (Metric Cycles) and left the bike. The shop owner seemed pretty upset, vowed to make good on everything and start working on her ASAP. From the way he looked at and spoke to the fellow who admitted to torquing the axle on my bike, I have a feeling someone may be getting just a little fired.

Aaaargh it is not good to be back.  [bang]  Where is our bonfire? Where is the home brew? Where is the drunken ducatisti laser light show?  ???

Needless to say, thanks for an awesome weekend guys. Only hanging out with ya'll and LOTS of Jason-brew can making trailering your bike all the way out to the HC just to be able not to ride actually fun!!

And a special thanks to Rich for letting me ride pregnant dog (I just had to say that cus it rhymed, but really, thanks!)

Until next time, I will be dreaming of a functional moto and 337 ::sigh::

Maybe some day I will make this John Belushi/Animal House/Hill Country/Ducati thing. Sounds like too much fun! [thumbsup] Of course, I am sure that board rules dictate that I, as an elder member, be relegated to the Arkansas rides only. :P If the truth were to be known, hill country rides suck compared to Arkansas roads. Gee, I guess I let that 25 year+ secret out. [laugh] I know we miss the non-stop beer fest party but we do ride some awesome roads at high speed. Wanna drink? Stay in the HC. Wanna really ride?... come with us!!! [moto]

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

872 miles?!    [bow_down]    Woo-hoo

...and I'm feeling every foot of it now, it seems....

What an AWESOME weekend  ;D

The company, laughs, food, rides, more rides, even more rides: it was all with the best group of folks around, top notch.  [thumbsup] I can't wait for the next one. I really didn't want to ride down when I first decided to go, but I do not regret it for one moment...OK, maybe about halfway back I thought I'd never get back home. [laugh] Rich and Jason, I enjoyed the company down (of course Jason and I were merely roadies for the Rock Star Duke Show  8)); it was cool that Billy and Donald joined me and Rich for the ride back up. Man, it was really cold on the way up for the first hour or so, and the ride home was really windy. My entire upper back and neck are burning. I would not travel down and back any other way, though--872 miles this weekend, baby. You heard it here: there was indeed some riding going on.
[beer]

Rich, the ribs were, well, the "freakin' ribs," man...I couldn't get enough.
Jason, the brew was beyond GREAT.
Jesus, awesome arepas and cigars
Zach and Catie, thanks for taking my cooler down and back. I'll have to pick it up and take a ride in the Unimog.  ;D
Catie, you are a saint....
...and, of course, thanks to all who led ride groups. I learned a lot from watching all of the folks ride this weekend.

Minor incidents, but clearly, one heck of a time  [clap]
