High-sided my Triumph

Went to the Virginia gaps Saturday with six of my riding buddies. I was having a great time and riding very well, hauling ass, hitting all the apexes, when I got a little wide on a very tight uphill left-hander. Anyone who has ridden Orchard's gap probably knows the one I am talking about as it has claimed many people.
I had saved it but got back on the gas a little too soon (my back wheel was still in some gravel along the shoulder). Fortunately I was only traveling about 15mph at the time when I lost traction and then suddenly regained it bucking me off the bike like a wild bull. Shattered my brake fluid reservoir and my right rear-set. Also tweaked my handle bar just a bit. I zip-tied the brake flulid line closed and did my best to hold the rear set together and made my way home. No major damage done to me but I've been sore as hell the last couple days and I have a good sized bruise on my right wrist.
Back on the Ducati for awhile 'til I can get parts.

Ouch, that sucks. At least you're ok and all that.

Rameses

That was the bike gods' way of telling you to get rid of the Britbike and be loyal to your Italian steed.

;)

Glad you're okay and there wasn't too much damage to the Triple.

Glad to hear that you're OK.   [thumbsup]

Yeah, I was geared up. Had on some Alpine Stars pants that saved my knees. I shoulda been wearing boxing gloves though because my wrists are all f'd up. But I still took my boys dirt biking the next day and then rode the Duc to work Monday so how bad can it be? [thumbsup]
