Hmm, I'm going to reserve judgement until I see him run with 4 or 5 other fast guys elbow to elbowz and THEN see how he goes ;D
Something he's been unused to in in his last 2 or 3 seasons in AMA. :o

on the whole true, sure.  but the times that he did have to get in there and scrap it up he was very successful.  against one of the toughest.
Like this is the racing, no?

well...the thing I am more looking at is how he reacts in a field where EVERYONE has the superior machinery for the most part and things are alot tighter to fight through...unlike say I think it was Road Atlanta where he had a shitty start and was in 12th and worked his way through the pack with relative ease and then passed Mladin at 2/3rds race distance and won...partially due to his equipment and partially due to his ability and comfort in his whereabouts...put him in the middle of the fray at say MagnyCours or Assen or Nurburgring or Vallelunga where things can get tight and bunch up quickly...where he doesn't know the circuit in depth...and he has the cagey experience of the many different styles of very well seasoned and more familiar riders amidst him....lets see what he does then....

I expect to see great things out of him....but I don't expect to see them right away!...he's got a helluva learning curve ahead of him....I'll be honestly flat out surprised if he podiums once during the 1st 6 races before Miller Motorsports Park....

strongly enough to make a wager if that is what you are leaning towards....

he'll finish in the top half of things regularly enough....I just don't think he has enough knowledge of the circuits and experience/comfort with the machine that a lot of the veterans will have....

so you're willing to bet that in the first 6 (actually 12) races he won't podium?  i'll take some of that action.

what are we betting, another RRWAF donation?  ...or dinner for two at his sushi joint in dallas?  =)
