I see nothing wrong with Ducati having it's own wine. Hell, they are in Italy. It's not like the Mechanics are out pruning the vines on their smoke breaks.  ;)

They have been doing stuff like that for a long time, luggage, a USB drive, various other stuff like that board... Nothing new.  All the Ducati official apparel  is just the same.  Yeah it might be all over, and varied applications - but if you really look at it they do a lot of word keeping all that shit 'on brand'  as a result you've got a myriad of products - but you know they are all Ducati.  On the other hand there's some other moto co's that seem to allow for their logo to be slapped on just about anything w/o control.  The result it a muddied brand look and inferior stuff sproting their name
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Don't get too uptight about Ducati's (so far) small foray into this kind of thing. At least they haven't completely sold out like Porsche. They've been at this kind of thing for twenty years. And BMW. And Ferrari. And Lamborghini. And ........

Kinda funny when you can go into the Italy section of Epcot at DisneyWorld and buy Ducati or Ferrari merchandise.

I got 4 merchandise catalogs with my new 696 the other day. They all were bigger than the owners manual.  [cheeky]

Didn't they put their name on a small car recently?  I think it was a Fiat.

I've never understood complaints about "selling out". The people who typically make noise about this, IMO, have nothing worth selling.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I like cool stuff to give as gifts to people who are already enthusiasts and riders.   when looked at that way it's fun stuff celebrating people already riding the bikes hard.

If looked at as marketing to get new people into it it's a bit lame.

But how much fun to give some Duc wine to someone who just tossed his monster down the track?  etc.etc.etc.
It's still buy a flounder a drink month

Don't forget bicycles, cars, vans, and now a truck.  ;)

Reminds me of a quote during a Metallica interview from sometime after the Load album
"Sold Out? Sure we've sold out, last tour we sold out almost everywhere we played"

If people are willing to buy a Ducati branded ________ then let them - all that money goes back to the shop so the business stays strong and they can run a good race program and put more $$ into the new bikes.  Works for me.

(With their new logo they can even go into the stuffed animal market - won't that puffy triangle make a great nose?)

Let's not forget:

The shoes...

Even a shoe video game at Foot Locker...

And the most over priced (but still cool) USB drive...

There's a guy here at work that rides a FZ1 and he wears a ducati Jacket and shoes almost everyday. He's never owned one.
