Is this normal? '95 M900, just changed clutch lever and installed new clutch springs/pressure plate/throwout bearing, and yes I lined up the pressure plate marking during the reinstallation. The bike (remaining stationary) can shift up and and down the gears without pulling in the clutch lever, oh, and the bike would not be in neutral while pulling in the clutch when in gear

Usually when I'm changing my clutch it takes me a couple tries to get the correct stack height. If the stack height is too tall you won't be able to pull the clutch lever.Try taking out one of the drive plates and see if that helps your clutch pull.

Hmmm, I didnt touch any of the plates. I did a bit of search and I may have to play around with the clutch adj. screw that sits behind the lever. By the way, it is a new lever taht is adjustable and the "adj screw" may not be where it should be. Anyone has a write up or how's on "free play adjustment"?

Turn the screw in or out until you have 1 - 1.5mm free play.
