I am seriously glad to be sharing good news. Very worried, as you all were. We have all been very lucky, very lucky. Me, Maria, Rich, Bryant, Alan, Cory, Marquess,... the list goes on too damn long. Not even counting the track day nonsense. Enough is enough. It is a f#@king combat zone out there, even without the autos! Can we please start putting together some big and small group rides without incidents? I am really tired of my friends going down and buggering up their bikes. The odds are someone will eventually get hurt real bad, much worse than me, and I just don't want to see that.

I guess it's the protective old fart coming out in me. But it's all based on good intentions. Please, please be careful. Track day, city street, country ride or not. The odds seem to against us and I would seriously like to change that. [thumbsup] [moto] Heads up folks, please!

Heal up, Maria.  Hope they aren't too stingy with the painkillers.

So sorry that you were in an accident and about the bike being wrecked.  Glad you're at home and not more seriously injured.  Heal up quick and hope we'll see you soon.

If they gave you a splint or brace to wear on your wrist, make sure to keep it on.  The cursed navicular bone may not show it is fractured for days after an accident.  It is a poorly healing little bone in the wrist part of the hand. You want to keep the joint immobilized as much as possible until a final determination has been made about whether it is broken or not.  Don't ask me how I know and how I got a second chance to know.  Glad you are OK overall.

Just noticed this thread... Maria, I hope you heal fully and quickly.

Just saw this also, while maria is recovering, with he injured wrist, it would be helpful to get a cadre of attractive men to assist with sponge baths and the like.  Sadly, my wife will not allow me to participate....

Who's stepping up to help an injured rider?  Please pm photos to maria for pre-screening...

I'm engaged, does that count as not married yet?

All kidding aside Maria, get well soon.  We need another Tangerine and Black Duc in town.  If you get another one and Kevin fixes his we'll be three  [cheeky]

Get well Maria!  I hate to see this kind of thing happen.  At least she's mobile and in decent shape!

I've told the lady, that I swear darn near everyone in this group has totaled their bike, or been down in the past year or so.  Those that I have met anyhow.  I keep wondering when its gonna be my turn.  I'm not sure how this stuff goes, but we have seriously got to quit dumping our bikes and getting hurt... at fault, or not at fault.  Every new person that goes down makes the lady want to take away my keys more and more.  :-\
