My Tour Master Synergy heated liner arrived yesterday.  I got it from Motorcycle-superstore.  I have a few other Tour Master/Cortech items (jackets and pants), so I ordered a medium -- same size as my jackets.  The major difference between the Synergy heated garments and other brands is that the heating elements are carbon fiber sheets -- no wires to rub/annoy you (except those that connect to the gloves).  The liner comes with a wiring harness (connects to the battery; positive lead has an in-line fuse), temperature controller, and a velcro strap which goes around your left thigh to which you secure the temperature controller.

This evening it was in the low 40s Fahrenheit, so I thought I'd try it out.  I was amazed.  As soon as you turn it on, it gets warm.  First push of the "on" button is the "high" setting, second push is "medium," and third is "low."  Each setting is indicated by an LED on the controller.  For this evening, low was more than enough.  I had on thin leather gloves, and my hands were no colder than an earlier ride when the temperature was in the low 60s.

So far, so good.  Now I have to try it when it really gets cold.

My girlfriend got me the Synergy gloves for Christmas, but she said I can have them before then, so when I get those and give them a try, I'll post up.

how much is the liner? this sounded like a good alternative than buying a winter jacket.
