That's a bummer, you might want to take a look at the xena disc lock alarm. It have a shock and motion sensor that will activate once you put it on and sounds a 110db alarm if your bike moves. For instance, if you sit on your bike or stand it up before taking the disc lock alarm off.

I got the XN15 for ~$110. There are other cheaper models but the XN15 fits both the front and back disc of my 696.  It also come with a black storage pouch that I attached to the trellis frame (I can't attach it to anywhere else). It will alleviate any future mishaps and it is decent at deterring thiefs.

Nice rides by the way.

I love watching my friend try getting his alarmed disc lock off before it goes off. He panics and can never do it. But he's lame and he knows it. ;)

I use that orange twisty cord hanging on my lever. It's a cheap option that saved me.

Exactly my thoughts. If it reacts to motion/shock - how do u take it off without setting it off?

Hahah, yea, if you're nervous and freaks out easily then I would not suggest this lock. It did scared the crap out of me on my first two attempt to take it off ;D . I do hope it have the same effects on any thieves fiddling with my ride though [evil].

It gives two beeps in three seconds or so before the alarms goes off. Now I get one beep every time i take it off, sometime two if I'm slow. It also give one beep after you put it on to let you know it is activated.

The twisty cord is great and cheap. I got the xena because initially I thought about installing an alarm system but instead seeing this as a two in one device I forgo the bulky alarm system (not much place I can put on the naked monster) and installation hassle.
