i'm getting these as soon as they are available. i was told my my ducati tech that they will be available around feb. of next year. i can't WAIT to get a real tire on the rear and get rid of those weak ass three spokes...

Looks cool! Like the mirrors! I'm going with stainless exhaust next year. Probably Leo Vince.

All that and you've still got the ugly emissions can?!

Looking good despite that.  The wheel tape's a nice touch
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Bike looks good. But yeah, +1 regarding the emissions canister. I picked up the EU shroud from the good folks at Moto Wheels. Also, might I suggest blacking out the exhaust hangers?

All around, nice clean look.

wait whats the emissions can?

and yeah, i might powdercoat the exaust hangars black once i put the bike up for the winter. but to me it kind of goes with the rear sets. which is why i didn't do them at the same time as i did the headlight bracket and the tail chop kit...

i have got to get my headlight trim painted/powdercoated.  that looks killer.

im really digging your grips as well.  looking forward to see the 5 spoked twists when you get them.

mrplease

ok, yeah thats a possibility. i don't mind the look of it though w/ the canister. it makes the bike look beefier on the side that its on. it sounds like its more trouble than its worth. but i might do it the same time i install the frame slider.

also does it void the warranty?

hey thanks man! and yeah i can't wait for those rims either. i don't know if i'm more excited about the 5 spokes or the 180 rear tire!

funny enough, there is a thread happening in the general forum. But since my dealer is the one that told me to take it off to help clean up the look on front of the bike, I'd say no. Although, a dealer   might be giving another user on this board a hard time about this very topic. So check with your dealer first.

I took mine all the way off... moved the regulator and the horn. I just like seeing more of the engine.  When in doubt, I vote for more naked.

Do you forsee any problems with a 180 rear clearing the rearhugger?  Can't wait to see how it comes out.

looks nice.
If you flip over the stock mirror mounts, it'll hide the unsightly bolts from the OEM mirrors.  Just a thought.

My fast lap is your sighting lap.

How are mirrors compared to stock (or even better CRGs)?

no problems at all. i talked to a couple dealerships and they said that the new wheels are made for the 696 and made for 180 tires to fit as a direct fit! why they didn't make the 696 come with a 5.5" rim i'll never know... i just looked at their direct competition, the 675 speed triple, and sure enough triumph put a 180 on it...

Slide Panda

Well, the 696 doesn't really need it.  Hell all the 900s probably didn't need it either.  Also looking at the street trip - they claim 108 bhp vs the 80 bhp of the 696.

One thing to research would be the weight of the new wheel and tire vs the current set up.  If the weight for the 5-spoke + Tires much more than the stocker you might be really disappointed when the bike slows up a bit
