Little out of my price range, but some cool Brit Iron none-the-less

Over $35K for a 250 cc BSA just because Steve McQueen owned it.   Is Steve McQueen really that cool?  I think his "coolness" has really been built up since 1980.

I guess if you have to ask that question, your cool meter is too low to own it anyway.

Personally, my cool meter is too low to own it because I could never afford it.

I'm betting it will sell for well over $35K by end of auction.  Is it worth it?  Absolutely.

And I thought Steve was a Triumph dude.

Young man - Steve McQueen was way cool, way before 1980. I doubt they make cool like that anymore.

As far as the value of the bike, I dunno, but it obviously has nothing to do with the bike he (actually didn't) ride in The Great Escape. TT

Steve McQueen and James Dean had a love of Sports cars and hanging around Sunnywood with beautiful women added much to their allure to the public .

Steve loved motorcycles which endears him to alot of us and eventhough alot of members were not alive when Steve was ( even I was pretty young when he was still alive ) his image has continued to carry on w, movies like "The Great Escape", "Grand Prix", and of course " Bullitt."

Steve is an Icon that will live on and on, and I suggest any of thses afore mentioned movies for some great action without CGI for a change.  He was a darn good rider too as his movie shows.    Dolph

McQueen was very cool - one of the original Baja racers in addition to his motorcycle racing exploits.

The guy next to him is Bud Ekins who he raced with (also the guy who jumped the fence in The Great Escape and did the hard driving scenes in Bullitt).
