Hey guys,

I'm an Australian living here in Bangkok - with my S2R1000. I'd noticed some weirdness happening with the forum that shan't be named, and with the riding season upon us here (it gets relatively cool) - did a quick search and found the new home - the DMF.

Great job to those behind this, and it just goes to show you can't keep a good thing down.

Cheers, Beers and Donuts to all.....!!!

Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

Welcome to the DMF, glad you found us.  [thumbsup]  thanks for the [drink]

Bangkok can get pretty busy, hope you get a chance to get outside the city for riding. [moto]

Indeed! I limit my city riding to short trips - using roads and times that the traffic is less congested.

I wonder how many people know (or care  :'() that the expressways (and tollways) in Thailand do not allow motorcycle access...?

It's true - you cannot get on there - at least legally. I suppose if they DID allow that, it would be absolute pandemonium - there are so many small cycles here - 150cc and below, that it would be absolute chaos.

But - it would be nice if they allowed bikes over say 400 cc on there - there are not too many of those here, and even less over 600cc.

The real issue is not so much riding in the city - or the dramas of getting out of town - but you seriously have to travel about 140k's at least to get to any decent twisty roads.

...or 60k's to the nearest full-sized circuit - which costs about 30 bucks for a full day's riding. Now...that ain't so bad...!

That's a great deal!  8)  I have the opposite, close to twisties but far from tracks and those are expensive.
