I'm sure Jeff will help you build a case that a Monster 1100 or that last S4RS Tricolore with a full Arrow or Termi system is the "next closest thing" to the 800.   [moto]

great to see things progressing well and in your favor!

what about a new streetfighter???  ;D  that's about the same right?

That Streetfighter is gorgeous, I have been glued to the video since sent to me by IZ_ Keith.   It hits in March 09.

Everyone,

Another good nights sleep, but interestingly a different part of my body was registering complaints that I didn't know was hurt!  So I am sure there will be a few more hiccups before I am 100%.

To all of this - Thank you for your love and concern.  I will see you at Il Fratellis for lunch and Ducati Dallas for the fashion show.

Let's enjoy another beautiful fall day in Dallas.

Warmest regards,

Maria  :-*

Mark at AMS just finished the damage estimate... drumroll please...

The worlds most expensive 2006 S2R 800...

$22,500.00

There isn't a part on the bike that wasn't destroyed, including the cylinder head.

Boy oh Boy, when I do something, I really really do something.   [roll]

:o   $22,500?!?!  Damn, that's a LOT of new motorcyle  [thumbsup]

Damn! That's a hell of an insurance payoff.

That's cool though, that's the same price as the new 1198s with traction control that's coming out. *wink, wink*

Oh Contrare,  That in no way is the insurance coverage.  That number of $22.5k is the total amount of damage to the S2R.  Given that is over 2X the amount to purchase a Monster, I think that the insurance company will consider my bike a total and discussions will commence on the policy coverage terms and conditions.

I take a slight bit of pride in having survived a crash that pretty much left every part of my bike crushed.

I believe there is something philosophical here.....if we value each and every one of our individual strengths, we soon realize that we are more than just another person or group posting on a forum...we are something much greater...yet it takes a major hit to cause us to pick apart what we have and assess the value of the individual parts.

Or is it my bad head cold that is making me think that?  Some people make a living taking loosely based metaphors and applying them to everyday familiar situations...perhaps I have found my niche.

We are a motorcycle gang....  and woe unto those who run before our business, for they will feel the full wrath of the espresso drinking, italian motorcycle driving, import beer drinking, 60$ ducati t-shirt wearing badasses that we are...

consider yourselves warned, evil-doers!!!!
