If this many people mourn my passing because I have passed on knowledge, may St. Peter consider my life a success.

To George.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

Although I never knew George , he seemed like an o k  guy. I'm sure he will be sadly missed by friends and family and those that knew him as a person who was willing to share his knowledge w, all who asked .

Thanks for letting us know.

George was an oil guru.  When he talked, I listened.

RIP, George.

Dang, I finally made my decision yesterday on which oil and oil filter I will use for my ride after reading his posts. I was about to comment and thank him.

Georgecls, if you can read this... Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

I only knew him from his posts and kind replies to me, but I will miss him.

Same here.  He had an intelligent way of responding that kept things on a higher level and kept it from becoming a typical oil thread with lots of bashing.   Sometimes when I'm tempted to respond in a dumba** way to a particularly dumba**post I ask myself how would Georgecls have answered it.

I also only knew him form posts, or P.M's I sent to him, but he will trually be missed.

Sad loss indeed... I remember reading that long post about oil on the DML when I first got my Duc and thinking to myself, "This guy really loves to help people."  Too few like him nowadays...

I remember reading that thread from top to bottom -- and what made it great was not just the straight, no marketing-BS way George laid things out, but the lengths he went to to make it comprehensible to us non-engineers.

A very good man; I never met him, but I'll still miss him.

Oh man, I just now saw this thread.

Like others, I also read the entire thread on TOB.  It was clear to me that George was a notch above, in multiple regards.

Shortly after TOB crashed, I personally looked up George and contacted him by phone to let him know about this new place, just so he would know where everyone had moved to, and so he could come over here and continue to bless us with his selfless dissemination of knowledge.  I did that because I knew that wherever George is, is a better place because of it.

RIP, George.

I am sad to hear about George dying..never met him but enjoyed hours of his wisdom on the oil threads and learned a thing or two.

My condolences
