It a a carbon fibre tank.
The cap is plug and play.
The cap manufacturer is engraved on the plug, I got it off of e-bay some time ago can't remember how much I paid.

Here's another pic

That tank is beautiful!  [thumbsup]
Sold: 2007 S2R1000 for canyon carving and commuting - DP ECU, PCIII, BMC air filter with open box, Zard full exhaust, Race-tech fork internals, Ohlins steering damper, and a Penske 8987 triple clicker

2000 996XU (extra ugly) for track days - BST carbon wheels, Ohlins shock, reworked fork, FBF exhaust, and a bunch of megacycle rocker arms. The rest of it is junk - Hey, I'm just happy that it runs...

Sold: 2002 Aprilia RST1000 for touring - De-restricted airbox, Taylormade Racing exhaust

Bbrent

coolest tank I've seen in a long time.

You show a lot of understated attitude with all that CF and yet just showing off a little. I'm thinking "class"  [thumbsup] (not totally convinced on the seat flames though?)

We can order spare caps in silver and black with no writing.

FWIW, that cap's "plug" or pull-out is just like the "Harris" brand ones. I recall seeing the TWM writing under the Harris lid, so the Harris ones are probably made for them by TWM. Really cool design; much nicer than the vortex ones that screw together.
