Dude wants seventeen large for a 1098?  Granted, it does have quite a few tasty mods to it, but I have found several "S" models, with less miles on them, that I can get for that money.  Even with the cost to ship them here.

Or if you want a project to work on...

I'd say 14-15K for the 1098. Good mods, yes, that's true. Deduct $$ for the mileage.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

HA!!  Turns out that I know the guy that currently owns that bike, and just talked to him on the phone even.  He is the one that has been parking it at my building, at work, the last week or so.  Told me he is selling it because he has dibs on "the only" 1198S coming into the island.

Yea, that's what he said in the add (he didn't mention that to me at all the other day) but he told me on the phone that all changed.  The change happened when South Seas called him yesterday and offered the one and only 1198S to him.  ;)

Yes it did; the first Duc ride that I went on here in Hawaii.  Owner said that he was on the local highway planning committee.   [roll]
