Headlight fairing install

I am installing a Ducati headlight fairing on my '01 M750. It looks like it bolts to the U bracket simply enough at the top and then attaches to the bolts that hold the turn signals in some manner that is not obvious. Can anyone explain how it attaches? Are special bolts for the turn signals required?

Thanks, Dave

Pretty sure it's the special bolts with rubber grommets.

As Speeddog says, there are special shoulder bolts with rubber grommets. The bolt screws into the indicator thtough the bracket, the fairing has slots that engage into the rubber grommet which is on the shoulder, tightening the bolt nips the gommet onto the fairing slots, the upper arms of the faining are secured to the U bracket.

Got some of those bolts here somewhere.

Pretty sure speeddog's right; on an 03 theres a rubber fitting that the lower part of the windscreen slided into, upper are Allen screws, I remember it seeming more complicated that it really is to remove or install.

The '01 and earlier bikes have brackets that bolt to the upper triple, the parts catalogue for the '00 M900S shows the brackets.
None of the '01 catalogues show the brackets, or maybe I just couldn't see 'em.

Whether the '01 and earlier bikes use the special bolt and grommet, I'm not 100% sure, as the parts catalogues don't show those.  :(

the 01+ bikes have that special bolt and grommet by the turn signal.  if there's a detail of the front signal hardware, maybe it might show in that?

they also have a bolt/nut up top by the gauge cluster.

the >00 bikes (which have the chunky metal bracket) mount to the top triple.  which is also different than the newer monsters, so even that one won't bolt right up w/o some fab work. which I have been too lazy to attack.
