OK, so I have a line on some brand new Sato's at a very good price but have heard thru the grapevine that Speedymoto has a new design for Monsters coming out by Jan. No pics are available for anything other than the 1098 ver.

On to the questions:

1. Are Sato's really all they are made out to be? They have only 4 positions/positioning combo adjustments...
2. The new SM's have a new dual-eccentric adjuster, said to be $600, would you wait based on SM's reputation only?

Probly comes down to just how good your price on the Sato set is. I tend towards the cheaper things if there's not much difference. I paid 550 for mine a year ago and have  been happy with them. nicely made units.

The Sato's are nice. The proto-type pictures of the SM rearsets are incredible.

IF you can wait and can afford them I would go speedy, but thats just me.

Squidwood,

Do you know of if the Speedymotos will offer a setting that is lower and back compared with the Sato's?  I have the Satos now but the ony adjustments are back and higher from the stock pegs.  It makes for an agressive riding position but makes it a little more cramped for the legs.

My exact point! And is there any more of a to-the-point hint of an ETA?

as far as eta ,don't know yet. Prototyping takes time and they are running a business that still has parts to make to fulfill orders placed by their many outlets/dealers. I'll know a bit more later in the week.

what about the Rizoma rear sets? anyone using these,  they seem to have heaps of adjustment.

We will be selling the Speedy Moto rearsets. I already have a few orders for them for the S4r and 1098. I spoke with Christian a few weeks ago and he told me that the S4R rearsets will be ready around Christmas or the 1st of the year. I did look at the prototypes at Indy and was very impressed. I think the design is as good if not better than what we had when I was at Cycle Cat. I do think that they are the best looking rearset on the market. If you want a set let me know.
Please don't forget to log on to www.motorcyclewishlist.com to create your wishlist. This is a sure fire way to get the bike stuff you want for Christmas.

I am not sure. The S4, as I recall used a standard Cycle Cat M900 frame bracket. It has been a while. I will ask the SM guys or they can post here when they see this. I know the priority was on the 1098 and the S4RS. I do not know what they were planning on next. If it were my decision I would build the late model SS and the Sport Classic since Cycle Cat never addressed these products and they are the same fitment. Looking at the SM design, there may be problems doing all of the fitments because of the way the arms work unless they use some kind of bracket. We shall see. What they have done so far looks great.

I had heard they were gonna make some and went and checked their site, but alas, only for the 1098.

Got my Sato's from that groupbuy that went bad. Were $460 shipped, hard to beat, course we ended up waiting a few months to get them. Raised pegs up and back compared to stock and feel good now, I doubt I'd need any more adjust ability.

You got pics?  ;D Also, IIRRC, there was an issue with the right unit (footpeg) being higher than the left when mounted. Can you confirm or debunct?
