Thanks for the warning.  Not can, should.  wheel is damaged, also get a form from the Comptroller's office to claim damage.  If the hole was reported previously, you will collect, though it will take a long time.

400 ft Before the Williamsburg bridge?  I also hit a HUGE pot hole at night coming back from M Shanghi (good Chinese).  I entered FDR Southbound and imediately hit a giant hole in the middle of the right most lane (FDR South bound far right lane AFTER the split to Williamsburg Bridge) So that makes two bike-eaters in less then 500 yards.

BTW, what's up with that stretch of Flushing Ave between N Elliot and Navy that they stripped about 3-4 months ago then never re-paved???

NYC Roads SUCK!!

He Man

i called it in about 2 weeks after reading howies post. im suprised they didnt fix it.

in that stretch there are indeed 2, i avoided that one ince its kinda on a right hand turn and i tend to be on the left side of the lane on rightys. i called it in when i saw that one.

guess you should do it too.

Queens?  What is this 'Queens' you speak of??  Oh, ya, Queens.  I think I may have been there once or twice.   :P

No, I'm talking about Flushing ave in Brooklyn.  The stretch I am referring to is right in front of Admarals row ,Brooklyn Navy Yard.  I go that way to get the the Brooklyn & Manhattan bridges...

I know that stretch, they also changed it from 2 way to one way.  I dunno when they will do that street but it's been way too long.  You think those roads are bad try Metropolitan Ave near Western Beef.  I commute that road and because of it I have 2 bent rims that need to be straitened this winter  >:(
