Yep, the lads are out with their shiny new LIDAR guns again, most notably by the Seminary exit northbound on 101. (Seminary is the exit just over the Richardson bay bridge, one exit past the Hwy 1/Stinson turnoff.)

I don't know why, but they seem to do it in waves - all over the place one moment, and not to be seen the next.

The officers get a bunch of overtime, then they go on vacation ;D

I had a moto  [leo] tell me straight up that they work on other stuff all month, then right before quota time they all go out in force and wright tickets to everything that moves.
I love when it gets posted because you just have to chill out for about 3 days to escape the Barney. (...you know Barney, as in Rubble...    rhymes with 'trouble')

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room

LIDAR you say?

Aren't you allowed to jam that?  [evil]
I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

Weeelllll no. Not really.

I did a little investigating and there are kits that shoot a laser back, plus some anti-reflective paint you can put on your headlight, but it all sounded like a pile of snake oil to me, especially given that most people's reflexes are a bit slower than C.

what with the state and a bunch of cities running in the red these days, expect a bunch of cops and chippies out generating revenue.  when the government screws the budget, we, the tax payers get hit.  [bang]

Hey, I'm doing my part. We towed two different cars from my driveway yesterday. That'll be like $1500 for the city.

We should steal cars and park 'em in Joe's driveway so he can get 'em towed.  That'll solve SF's $575.6m budget deficit for next year.

I always take it easy on 101 between the GG bridge and the Richmond bridge, especially exiting (going north) or approaching (going south) the GG.  CHP just loooooves to hang out there and nab people.

That is exactly where I got nabbed back in August.  This  CHiP told me that the spot always has cops and that I should have known better... I do now.

Drivers still don't seem to get the concept of the red curb with the yellow DPT logo.

One of my clients had her driveway redone recently and the guys stenciled the DPT logo on her (red) curb. The city sent someone out to check who had legit DPT stencils (meaning: paid for), and painted over my client's curb with gray paint. Yup, they're looking to make $$ any way possible these days.

I'm always especially careful when driving in wealthy neighborhoods and suburbs; the cops have nothing else to do because of low crime rates in those areas. I once witnessed a cop in Burlingame citing a driver for entering a bank parking lot through the exit.

Gah! I got a facking parking ticket in Mill Bloody Valley fer crissakes. Parked the scoot on the sidewalk in front of Whole Paycheck like I often do, and come out to a $20 ticket. Bastardos!  It's not like I'm avoiding paying for parking as the street parking is free there. Jeebus.

I guess they want me to take up an entire car spot from now on. Dumbass rule if ever there was one.

F'in happy new year all.

Take a dump on it and then stick it in an envelope with a $20.  Mail it.

Rinse and repeat as necessary.  Or until you're jailed.
