Last question (Rizoma Rearset install related)

Has anyone installed these or any others and felt like this bolt could just fall off at any moment.  I tightened the heck out of it at first only to realize that it wouldn't allow the transmission to shift and then I loosened it and it gives me an uneasy feeling like it could fall off at any moment.  MAYBE i AM JUST PARANOID ???

Can't tell from the size of the pic...is that a nylock nut?

I tightened the sh!t out of mike on the stockers, but my joint is on the other side of the shifter arm.

Does Rizoma instruct you to install the joint on that side of the shifter arm?

Not sure, there were no instructions with them.  Do you think it should go on the other side?

I don't understand how changing the direction of the bolt will fix the too tight/too lose problem - the angle is causing the issues?

You don't have (or use) the black Rizoma rod. Are they, or rather their end pieces, different? Could those differences cause these issues?

The heim joint is on the wrong side.

That is what was in the rizoma box.  No black rod.

yea, if i'm not mistaken, those rizoma rearsets shouldve come with a new shift linkage rod. check under the bubble wrap in the bottom of the box...

youll find a new longer linkage rod in the bottom of the rizoma box.... ;)
just thread it into the stock heim joints, dont move them, just thread the linkage rod to the correct length....

That is the longer supplied rod.  It is just not black.  I switched the side and I was able to tighten the heck out of it and it shifts fine.  Thanks!!!....that could have been really bad if it came off mid journey.  Once again, glad I asked

Did you figure it out?

I have the same rear sets.  I have mine higher which means to get them to work, you have to shift in reverse/gp style. Basically pushing down on the shift is going up a gear and down shifting is raising the shift up.  Better pics bellow.  Also, there was a longer linkage rod and you put it on the inside.  It uses a nylock nut if I remember correctly and a dab of threadlock is always good.
