We are looking for some opinions and experiences with the new Bell Star helmets

While searching for a new helmet line to carry, we came across the new Bell Stars.
A Bell representative brought over some of the new Bell Star helmets for us to check out.
The style, quality, fit and finish look pretty good. The ventilation looks good and the shape is supposed to be very stable at speed. The product support seems top notch.

We are now thinking of ordering a batch for ourselves. We are wondering if we should bring some in for stock.

From some of the reviews that I have read, it seems there are a lot of people that like them. They say the visor is the easy to replace. The helmet is stable at high speeds.
It comes with a very nice bag too.

Does anyone have any long term experience with the new Bell Star helmets?

I wear the Silver Bell Star in medium.  They seem to run big as I normally wear a 7 3/8 ballcap.  They come with a set of soft and firm cheek pads which is a nice touch.  They are easy to switch out.  The lens is very easy to swap out but it seems hard to find new visors.   The place I bought my helmet from told me that there was a photochromatic lens coming out so I have been waiting.  The helmet is very comfortable and vents very well.  Cushioning on top seems a little thin though.  Overall, I am very happy with it.

My dad said that Bell helmets are good but he hasn't been in the market for more than 20 years. I have no personal experience w/ them.

The end is in sight! Gotta buckle down and get to work!

I used to AutoX with a Bell helmet inthe 70s. They went away and seem to be making a comeback with a new design team, owners and some of the principles from the original organization. Sp far from what I have seen and heard the helmet is a very good value with some very innovative features.

Wondering if you got them in - and , if so, your impressions.

Lost my Arai (fookin thieves) Quantam II so I'm in the market.........
Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)

I've only had a couple opportunities to run my new matte black bell star with both clear and dark silver tinted visors.  I previously wore a M Suomy, figured I would get a M Bell as well.  Overall it does seem to run slightly bigger than the Suomy, but with the firm cheek pads it feels very nice, very comfortable, no pressure on my ears, and I pass all the suggested fitment tests listed in the user manual, so overall, I say the fit is great.  Even with the vents all closed up, the helmet has a good draft to it.  Winter sprints will be chilly, but then Winter is chilly after all.  The 2-way face vent is awesome and the switch works very easily.  The chin strap seems rather long, and the nylon fabric seems cheaper than the Suomy.  I have to tighten down pretty much all the way to get a nice secure fit against my jaw.  There is a lot of slack strap, just a minor nitpick, don't notice it when riding.  The tinted visor has picked up 1 scratch in the coating so far which concerns me.  Perhaps the hit was harder than I could tell, but I hope this isn't an early indication of the (lack of) durability of the tinted coatings.  I understand all things will deteriorate with time, but the blue anodized coating on my Suomy visor has held up quite well in the past year.  Overall, I'm thrilled with the purchase.  Very nice helmet, killer looks, comfortable for my particular head shape, visor changeout is ridiculously easy, the carry bag (oh, the carry bag!) is sweet as hell, and coincidentally matches my bookbag almost perfectly, its just great so far.  Can't wait for warm weather so I can log some more miles and perhaps provide some updated impressions.
