Please tell me you didn't take a cashiers check and hand them the signed title. Bad guys are papering the country with great looking fake cashiers checks. That is real popular with thieves lately. Had lots of felony theft cases in my court like that. I personally know two people it happened to and my brother's neighbor had his Suburban "sold" that way. Very nice, well dressed white couple took it for a test drive, they haggled on the price, said they would think it over and left. They called an hour later said they would go to their bank and bring him a cashiers check. They showed up and swapped the check for the signed title and he waved as they drove off. Major dispappointment would sink in at his bank the next day.

Sorry to sound like Officer Friendly/Mister Bad News and Gloom lately but there is just way too much bad juju going on in this world.

Nope- you're right. Randy went to BofA with the buyer, & the teller handed the cashier's check to Randy

Outstanding! That is the right way to do it. If it's under $10K then I want cash. Universal green gift certicates only. If it's more then I would handle it the way ya'll did. Second would be a wire transfer. Sorry to see it go but I'm glad you sold it if that's what you wanted.
