I guess I'm not the only one who loves beaver....
I once had a real nice beaver hat, all warm and IZ_.... some make the beast with two backser stole it.  >:(

Thank you WDB.  There was starting to be a very big gray area between beaver hat & beaver.

Hell,  I'm still not sure where this is going.    [clap]  [popcorn]  [bacon]

it appears there may be some beaver hunting in Ouray this year.

I like to poke the little make the beast with two backsers till they get all mad and start hissing and shit.....

....to far?[laugh] I may have seen a line back there??  ???

ducducgooseme

careful, cuz when you poke em that much, they use their teeth.  they continue to look all warm and IZ_ and cuddly...then BAM, the teeth chew off the poking stick.

If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.

you must be poking them the wrong way.

ducducgooseme

wow, have we hijacked the shit out of this thread.  [thumbsup]

OK, given that my moderator moderators will beat me for running this thread amuck...lets get back on topic.

Having stayed in a few different motels in the fine bustlin' town of Ouray, I see the pros and cons as follows:

Hotsprings Inn:
Pros:
Friendly, yet slightly mentally impaired staff
     Grills and multiple hottubs
     Parking and use of hoses
The beds are to die for[/li][/list]

Cons:
Half marathon distance from the bars
Continued mess up of reservations (see mental impairment note above)

Best Western:
Pros:
     Own hotsprings!  Hot tubs too
     Friendly staff
Not a bad location (not super close either though)

Cons:
Would need discount cuz rates are high
Not sure if they have a grill

Comfort Inn:
Pros:
Nice deck and hot tub (I think only one if I remember right)
     Friendly staff
Great location!  Stumbling distance to the bars.
     Good rates

Cons:
Dirt street (but paved parking)...though this might be a positive for Ducmouse as she can boot in the dirt and not have to clean.  [cheeky]
Not sure if they have a grill
     Slightly dated rooms

The AMA Women & Motorcycling conference is going on in Keystone from the 19-22nd.

Certainly, this may preclude some attendees due to time and budget constraints.

However, I'm wondering if DiTR were held the 14-16/17th, would some people travel in to double up on events in CO?

ducducgooseme

you planning on going to the women's rally big guy?  :-*

You're doing a great job of keeping this thread on track  [roll]

And I was only planning on going with you as your boy toy.  :-*

Seeing as I'll be in NM when this occurs this year,

I would rather take speed and watch piranha eat my junk than miss it.

As FNG I volunteer to chaperone Randimus, in this I have much experience...

On a side note I was just in Portland, and there is no damn beavers in Oregon anywhere, maybe they migrated to CO?
I promise to ride it more than I stare at it....

I've seen beaver in Oregon... didn't catch any, but it is there.  You just aren't trying hard enough.
