If you need future movement you should be able to call the FD's non-emergency number (or the nearest station) and set up a time to get them to carry you up and down the stairs. Just give some notice.

So many random stories from the hospital, from the crackhead, to the bionic old man, to getting "hit on" by the nurses, this was a totally DMF approved excursion! 

Now, back to catching up on sleep after my "restful" hospital stay.

Ditto,  I was convinced during my last stay that the only one asleep in the whole place was my snoring old guy roommate.

If you want to make your worst day in a hospital seem like a vacation, come over to the VA hospital one day. Prison camps are more fun.
