I'm not particularly fond of electrical work.  But I noticed that my brake lights are not working with either brakes (front or back).  I'm not sure when or why this happened.  Can someone give me a place to start?  It is on, just doesn't respond to brake levers.

Did you check the bulb?

FYI: It's dual filament.

Yes - and sometimes the direction - it's kind of possible to put the bulb in 180 degrees wrong.

You could:

1.  Check the bulb with a multimeter, or with a 9V battery
2.  Check the socket with a multimeter, whilst applying rear and front brake levers separately
3.  Tighten rear brake pivot - mine was loose and didn't activate the microswitch
4.  Loosen the little machine screws holding the front brake microswitch, then re-position the switch and re-tighten.

One or more of these will hopefully hit the mark...    Good luck
