In India -- they'd be driving on the other side of the road.  And they'd be dodging cows.  No shit the other night we were driving back to the hotel from the office on this new tollroad, when a group of about 5-6 cows that had been hanging out on the side of the road start a mini-stampede.  They start running (20mph?) along with traffic, then at a break in the highway divider, cut across 3 lanes of traffic on each side and start running back the other direction.

It rivaled that video in amazement factor.

Sounds a lot like a ride we had a couple of years back

that's the trouble when you go and make an animal a deity ... they start thinking they are all that and a bag of chips ... then they start hanging out in gangs, and next thing you know ... they start a stamped.

Came around a corner once on Chileno Valley Rd. and there was a huge steer blocking the entire road. Must've been well over 1000 lbs. That's as close as I ever want to get to livestock when riding!

Yea that's serious. How serious? Well I know some people that were driving pretty fast one night in an Old Super Bee. Remember those? about 4,000 Lbs give or take. Hit the great big cow in the road. The rear window popped out on impact, Messed up the frond end badly, Messed up the body work all down the drivers side of the car, Pretty much stopped the car. The Cow Moood and walked off from the scene. Yea didn't exchange insurance or anything, So the guy was on the hook for the damage. 

Can you imagine that on a bike? 

I have seen cow roadkill on the road (in Elk Grove, a pretty straight road) and wondered how on earth someone hit it.

The Milk Run was probably in the same spot on Chileno Valley...you go over a small rise, just before the schoolhouse at the end of the road. We had a group ride (10 people) and there were 7 or 8 cows. We ended up herding the cows along the road for about 1/4 mile, dodging fresh cow patties the whole way
