What is the thickness of the stock brembo 320mm rotors when new?

Also, what's the typical life span (mileage) one might expect?

Howie

Monsters have 4mm thick rotors, minimum thickness 3.6 mm.  Mine lasted 40+K miles.  Life span depends on riding conditions and pad material.

I just bought a set of 320mm rotors with 9k on them.

The rotor is stamped " MIN TH 4.5mm". They measure about 4.9mm now.

Howie

5 mm. rotors are a good upgrade, I have 5mm. Alth on the bike now.

Many rotors have the thickness stamped onto the carriers.

FWIW, I've just replace my original front disks at ~130k miles. I _probably_ should have replaced them 20 or 30k miles back, they were _quite_ undersized...

just mic the rotor near the carrier where the pads do not touch.

Edit:  just did it, 2007 s2r1000, stock rotors.  0.157" or 3.99mm

Ok got it. I just measured wear the pad doesn't touch, per aaronb's suggestion, 5mm. Wear the pad does touch 4.9+mm. Not bad for $90.00 shipped. Now I just gotta check if they are warped.

Here are rotor specs. for Ducati (and other compatible bikes) for aftermarket rotors.  I assume that they are close to the stock specs: http://www.metalgear.com.au/part_disc.asp?partno=21.015
