My name's Tony
Had my R-E license since 2001, and have only finally gotten around to moving up to the R class.  I've booked my test on the 16th of Feb, which is the same date, +10 years, of when I had my driver's license issued.  Hopefully that's a good sign.

I'm going to be putting an order down for a black Monster 696 once the finance goes through, which I'll find out about tomorrow over at Fraser's here in Perth, Western Australia.

I've been reading a fair amount of good info on here, posted by people who seem to know what they're talking about, so I thought I'd sign up and say hi.

The Monster will be my first bike, but I've mostly ridden friend's 250 Jap bikes before.  Although it's been a couple of years since I've even been on a bike now.  Hopefully it won't be too fiddly to ride and own, but I guess I'll find out    It'll probably be mostly to get me to and from work and some longer rides on the weekends.  The weather has been too good here lately for anyone not to have a bike.

Glad to be here, thanks for the support.  Just went and popped down a deposit on the bike, and they managed to find a black one in Melbourne for me so it'll be here soon... The test feels so far away now.

I also ordered some gear from kneedraggers.com, like an icon helmet, gloves and boots.

Don't worry, I'll be taking plenty of pics when I get the bike
