Im going to have my tank painted and welded. On the bottom of the tank there is a nut, unscrew this nut and out pops the low level fuel sensor except there is a wire attached to it that goes up into the tank. I looked at the diagram and it shows it plugging into the tank on the inside towards the front? Is this right? How do you unplug it or better yet plug it back in when your putting it all back together? Maybe im not seeing this diagram right....

You're right.  Lemme search a bit -- I had another post on this recently.

Edit:  Oh wait, that was you.   ;D  http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=17189.0   There is a connector that connects it to the fuel pump.  You can reach in an pop the fuel pump out of its clamp and then undo the connector.  If you have big ole hands, find a chick to help out.

Basically, you have three parts--that are all connected--to get rid of.  (1) fuel pump, (2) fuel filter, and (3)  sensor.

The sensor comes out the bottom.  The fuel pump and fuel filter are attached inside with clamps.  You gotta pop them out by reaching inside from the top.  Once they're out of their clamps, you can undo the connection to the fuel sensor.

Here are two pics of the connector that you need to undo:

I found its fairly easy to do if you pull the fuel pump out of the bracket its pinched in then you can pull the wire connection all the way to the filler hole to disconnect and then do the oppsite when installing..
