It is a good Bourbon to have when your having more than one.

the_Journeyman

I can't afford the other kinds, probably because I do like to have more than one!

This sparks another question in my mind, then.  As I usually only have one, on a given night, what bourbons do you consider "one-drink-worthy"?  (I currently drink Knob Creek, having graduated from Maker's Mark.)

Just tried some Makers Mark last night. My first time trying bourbon. Not bad...much better than Scotch IMO. I did like it a little better with an ice cube in it, as opposed to straight (neat I guess).  [thumbsup]

Try Bookers or Bakers.  Once they flash off, 124.5 proof and 107 proof respectively, they are quite good!

It's like going to the movie store, I can't remember shit when I get in front of the selection.  I picked up a bottle of Bulliet (cheaper than Knob Creek, btw), and I'm on the south end of a couple of fingers.  Not bad.  Doesn't taste as smooth as Knob Creek, but I'll give it a go.

My liquor store is shy on selection.

Mine is too.  The Bulliet is nice, but you're right, not near as smooth as something like Maker's Mark, Knob Creek, Eagle Rare etc.  It's as rough as Elijah Craig, but has that really nice oaky flavor I like ~
