What's a YZF500 you mean YZR500?

Get the red one, it is a virtual clone of UJ's bike.  Same exhaust, turn signals, levers, etc.

UJ has the full Zard system?  I've contacted the current owner about it.  Hopefully, I'll hear back soon  [thumbsup]

if you get the bike with the Full System make sure to buy a Power commander, he doesnt list it on his ad.. and is a must if you run full exhaust..

Triumph computers can be reflashed with a Triumph offroad tune (some variations depending on setup), or one of the other vendors. There are also some tuner boxes or laptop software that allows you to tune them yourself.  We are thinking mine is one of the Triumph tunes, but it would be fun to get some tuner software to 'look under the hood' so to speak.

B8, are you going to get it?   [moto]

I've done a little bit of research about the D675 and found that lots of folks use the "TuneBoy" software.  There is the Triumph "Race Kit" that costs about the same as a D675, but has everything you'd want.

I'm thinking about it.  It's a bit more than what I want to pay for a trackbike, but you never know.

I looked at another one yesterday that has some blemishes but is closer to my $$ range.

you can sell the street stuff and make up some of the money...

Another option would be Aprilia RSV1000 they are going cheap and you still can do European trackdays...

Went over to RPM and checked out their showroom this weekend.

After talking to the guys over there, I'm pretty sure the D675 is going to be a great overall bike for the track.  They did have 3 of the Ape RS125 there... very tempting

Now I just have to find a D675 that fits the budget

I have the Tuneboy for my Daytona.  It F***in' ROCKS!!!
You can do anything you want with it.  Anything!
Change speedo for tire size changes, rev limit, fueling, ignition timing, diagnostics, data aquisition... and a zillion other things...

And Wayne Macdonald (and his wife, Emma) have outstanding customer support.

What are repairs like on an Aprilla?  About the same as a Duc?

according to borris' (RPM manager) kid, the little racer boy himself (he won the heavyweight twin class on a watered down D675 last year?), the parts are easy to come by and cheap.

no.... more japanese prices for service/parts and less frequent services Aprilia is part of the Piaggio Group, Very strong company, older RSV are good bikes if you dont want to spent more than 7k for a liter euro bike
