I'm dreaming, that would be awsome. 

The drawing looks like it was made by the same guy that produced the drawing of what everyone thought was the new Streetfighter. 

I've never quite understood the supersport. As far as I can tell, they look similar to an sbk, without the performance.....and they have the power of a monster....without the comfort.


What the hell am I missing here?

The riding position on my 97 SS is halfway between a sbk and a monster. So it's comfortable over a long distance and not a rack like the sbk.
Now DQ's SS is a more aggressive riding position which requires a clip on mod to make it nice around town.
The thing I really like about the SS is the fact you have Monster power in a sportier package.
Lets be honest a 120hp+ bike on the street is not really necessary, at least it would be to much for me. So without a SS in the Ducati lineup my options are Monster/Hyper or a SBK. Not what I want or need.
If you want to try the SS let me know and you can take it out, it might clear things up far you.

Noticed the same swingarm as the M696. Wonder if it'll catch the same crap as the 696 did.

She SS is extremely comfortable. In fact, I can sit mine longer than I can ride the Monster (various reasons for this).

And performance comes in many areas, not just engine power. Mine's got 85hp, and I often run circles around superbikes at the track...especially Sears Point. The suspension is great, the torque is there from down low, and it's extremely settled and confidence-inspiring in the corners. The main thing about the SS is just how rideable it is. Everyone who gets on that thing wants to take it home.

Looks pretty good, I've never been a fan of the in circulation SS, the styling just doesn't do it for me. I would be interested in this. I don't need or want 120+ hp the street, I can get myself in enough trouble with what I've got already.

I wouldn't get too excited.  Bezzi has a long and glorious tradition of cranking out illustration after illustration of supposed new designs that never come to fruition.  To my knowledge, he has never penned a design that has been picked up by any manufacturer.  Some of his bikes look great, some are way over the top, but in all, they are just styling exercises for his portfolio.

I'd buy it, if it came with a watch and a bottle of wine.

Yep, I agree ^^^^ too Daytona-ish, which isn't bad, it just isn't unique either.
