Well, maybe just a little................anyone familiar with bleeding a clutch?

Yeah, it can be a pain sometimes.  Open the master cylinder.  Put a short length of hose that points away from the bike and into a coke bottle or something on the bleed screw on the slave.  SLOWLY, pull in the clutch lever several times and then crack open the bleed screw while holding the lever depressed.  Close the bleed screw and then release the lever.  Do this several times until it feels like a clutch again.  When you pull the lever in, do it slowly so it doesnt spray brake fluid all over the bike.  If you get any fluid on the bike, remove it quickly because it does bad things to paint.  It wouldn't be a bad idea to have a can of brake cleaner on hand.

awesome, thanks for the detailed instructions...............and being that I haven't messed around with this bike before I just need to figure out where the master and bleed screws are.............probably need to swing by anf pick up some brake fluid as well I assume

thanks again, will be attempting this afternoon

Master cylinder is on the clutch lever and is where you refill the fluid. Bleed screw is on top of the slave cylinder.

You can also reverse bleed it by taking the cap of the res, unbolting the slave from the bike and pumping up the slave (not too far out) then pushing the piston back in by hand and repeat several times.  I usually do both methods to make sure I've removed all of the bubbles.  word of caution though push in the slave piston slowly or you'll have a fountain of fluid all over your bike and make sure when you bleed using the normal method you keep plenty of fluid in the res or you'll get air into the system.

If I were on 2 feet (or at least 2 wheels) I would have helped. 13 days to go until I get this damn cast off...

thanks all!

So I will be taking the bike to the dealership tomorrow, planning to rent a truck from Home Depot and driving it down myself to save some moolah......anyone got some ramps and/ropes I can borrow?

I've never transported a bike before, anything I should know?

Thanks
