Public service mentality ... not the type to own their own business.
I work in the public service... and even we're not this bad. :).

I once walked into an the lender's office at an old bank, I was the new man in the job...first thing I noticed was when I sat down how I was looking down on people....first thing I did was hit that switch and get down low....half the time I end up sitting next to my clients anyway...like we're working on homework together!

Hierarchical structures suck!

(that would make a cool t shirt)

ah, "I'm not after anything too serious" = "I will f#ck you till you die of dehydration and never see you again"

and that was from the girls!

Well today the machine was fixed (late tuesday), so for 5 days, we have had a staff member sitting there (me for 3, casual guy for 2)  doing nothing but surfing the web, making phone calls to friends and family for a chat, I used my iPod touch for games (drained the battery each day, that's 3 hours solid use) and wandered around the store like a lost child to alleviate some of the boredom.

The Staff and customers all ask me to explain the logic of someone being in an area for 5 days with no work and not a thing to do.

All I say to them "There is none"

So, I am going in today to resign, That'll make the beast with two backs em!!   [thumbsup]

I have always wanted to have that old Country and Western Classic "Take This Job and Shove It !!" playing LOUD on a portable player and play it to the boss while hanging a browneye and breaking wind in his general direction!! [roll]  [evil]

Or do you think that would be a bit too subtle??  [cheeky]  ;D

With the downturn in business, I think my name was one of the people on the short list to be chopped in the coming months anyway, talking to the boss when I gave them my resignation letter.

He never said it directly, but you could feel the vibe.

And he said I was not going to be replaced, so it will be interesting to see who, if anyone takes over doing the machine (Fuji frontier printer) service work, the Machine is very fussy about having there service and maintenance done on them weekly, and they go down hill very quickly if not done, I went on holidays for a couple of weeks about 6 months ago, no service work was done while I was away, and the machine output quality started dropping away, (fine scratches and emulsion marks)

But I suppose, it's not my problem anymore  ;D
