Howdy all. I'm trying to determine if there's any interest in this for Monsters. I love them and would really like to work with some. The "Shotgun" style is a custom for a customer but might give you an idea how it would look on the Monsters with the same configuration. The other style is hopefully similar enough to the new models that sport a similar setup. My site is at www.chainreactionmoto.com.

Thanks for your input in advance,

very interesting.
i have read where several members are looking into GP style pipes, so there may be a market there.
regardless of that, i think they have some promise.
Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

I think those shotguns are the best I've seen:  closely spaced and up high.  [thumbsup]

The left+right high mounts look great too!!

Very nice!!   [thumbsup]  Any thought on price and perf numbers?  I know it is early but any indicators on what might be the gains besides looking really really f'in cool

I have not been able to make up my mind yet one which exhaust to get. I know I want the High left and right. And preferably round. If available, those would definately be in the running
08' S2R 1K   That was close  damn near lost a $400 hand cart.

Very cool. I like both options. What's the finish on the cans? Would these be slip ons or full system?

definitely digging the second type!!

I love my ex-box but if the price were right, i would definitely consider the second style.

Very sweet,

I have a 696, so the high mount each side would be very cool.

Do these guys have a web site?

Thanks Russ

greenmonster

Looks good!  [thumbsup]
I think they will look even better on the Ducati Streetfighter.

Wow Fallon NV, brings back memories. I didn't think there was anything out there besides the live fire weapons test range

I've got a buddy who has CR pipes on his Speed Triple.  If I remember correctly they are some kinda low mount shortys.  They look and sound awesome!

And the price was more comparable to scorpion than Arrow

Thanks to all of you for the input!

There are new pictures on the top of the post now. I redid the mid-pipe to be a twin pipe.

I'm hesitant to say anything about price (which I'm not sure of cuz it depends on the model and work involved) I got in trouble with the administrators because this could be considered a commercial kind of deal. I totally understand their concerns. It would ruin the whole site if people kept jumping in trying to sell their latest goods. That's not what this kind of forum is for. So I apologize for that. I'm really hoping to just get a feel for how Ducati folks feel about this kind of mod. Triumph folks are always looking for stuff to customize/personalize their bikes with. But I posted something on an MV Agusta site and you could hear a pin drop! If I had a Brutale I might not touch it either, but it just seemed weird. So I'm happy to see (as I suspected) that you folks like to tinker.

I did want to share my view on performance though.

When it comes to slip-on mufflers: The reality is that there is almost no difference in overall performance---PERIOD! There will be differences in flow, back pressure, etc which are primarily a result of core design and diameter. Those differences will give one guy's exhaust a tiny bit more or less low or top end. But it will be almost imperceptible. Assuming you have a good tune, the performance increase you get will depend mostly on how good the stock cans are. Most stockers are forced by regulation to be corks--Take out the corks and voila! You get HP! Just look through my exhaust or any other. They'll probably look pretty much the same....a big hole. No big science there. Surprisingly, the differences in sound seem to be more of a result of the materials, including the outer canister, than anything else. Another big potential plus for aftermarket stuff is weight savings. My stock Triumph cans weigh about 10 lbs each. My CRMs weigh 2.7 lbs each. I don't know what others weigh, but I assume they're at least somewhat lighter than stock. It can be argued that the single most important performance stat is power-to-weight. So, take off more weight, make your bike more faster....er.

Anyway, thanks again for the input. I hope I get to work on some of these awesome scoots.
