Bar sweep angles. Mine too radical?

I have my clip ons installed. Tech who did it races bikes and do most of his work on SBKs.
My rough calculations, from looking at this picture, put mine at about 35 degrees.
Stock bar is supposed to be 18 degrees and the Suburban Machinery bars are 24 degrees. From there to 35 is a lot, isn't it?
They are so close to the tank that I'm guaranteed to dent it if I drop the bike + there will be issues with space for my hands at parking lot maneuvers.
The obvious answer could be to adjust, but my hands fall perfectly in place on the grips when my elbows are relaxed (track/twisties style).
I guess I should just ride it and find out what suits me the best, but I thought I'd also hear what you think....

That doesn't look too bad, but they should be set at an angle with which you're comfortable.

Mine:
'05 S4R (>47k mi); '04 Bandit 1200 (>92k mi; sold); '02 Bandit 1200 (>11k mi); '97 Bandit 1200 (2k mi); '13 FJR1300 (1k mi); IBA #28454 "45"

Opinions dont count here, cause no one has the same hands that you do. so just ride, adjust, ride and see what you like better.

I was wondering if there is a "standard" for SBKs - which may be wrong on Monsters. Your point on my unique hands is valid. One of my goals for this mod is to have my hands on the grips at the most natural angle. With the stock bars it's either pinching the bars with index and thumb or go with the elbows outwards. None of which is any good for comfort or control.
I will be testing.

With those clipons I think you will find that there isn't a lot of room to move then forward. I installed a set just like them on a friend's S2R8 a few years ago and with the poor duc fairing stays and the coffin masters you don't have a lot of room.
I've been wallowing in my own chaotic and insecure delusions.
