That's a great helmet  [thumbsup] Quiet, with pin lock and well built. Big plus: it looks a ton better than the previous model which was VERY wide at the "jaw".

The two lines under the visor, moving forward? It's a flip up helmet [thumbsup]

I'm curious about the Schuberth helmets. How do you like it? I've never seen them in person.

I checked out the Nexx x30 at the Bike Show in New York. I like that it had some minimal chin protection when the fullface visor is up and internal sun visors should become standard on all helmets. If I recall correctly they have just been DOT approved in the states. It's also not as big (mushroom head) as some helmets. My only criticism is that I couldn't open the visor with my bare hands so with gloves on.....

Checked out there website...doesn't say that this helmet is DOT approved but their 3/4 ones are.  Almost looks like a Shark model with the narrow chin.  Not sure if I like the design but it does look very ergonomic and aerodynamic.

aah, those - those are there to divide the eyesight left/right - thus giving a greater depth view. Great for high speed riding [thumbsup]

The visor is just a normal round visor (i think it's the photo)
I think this is the best helmet ever made ,i had a few Arai's ,but this one is so much better
It's lighter ,you can ride without earplugs ,and you don't hear the wind but your engine

That sounds nice - my R1 is very noisy, the turbulence gets through the padding to my ears just behind/below my ears. I guess it's because of the more open "racing" style. Strangest thing is that when I stand up to get over the fairing-created turbulence its super quiet.
Did you ever try the R1 to compare noise?

interesting helmet. nexx-usa has pics but almost no information to go along with them. it says the helmet has an "interior sun visor" but it is not clear whether this can flip up and down. im assuming it is staionary, as if it were flip it would be a nice feature to mention on the specs page

webbikeworld did a review on the Nexx. It didn't do exceedingly well but it wasn't really bad either. They said it wasn't very comfortable and didn't feel thick enough to be safe. And yes the sunshade is retractable. The black vertical line behind the hinge is the control for it.
ErkZ NOT in SLO w/ his '95 m900!
The end is in sight! Gotta buckle down and get to work!
