How do you do this without messing up the carbon fiber?
Thanks,
Gary

you might mess the decal but never seen a decal mess up the carbon fiber.. some glue might still be there but that comes off with a bit off Goof Off... you can try a heat gun too...

careful if you decide to use googone.  a certain someone on here used it recently on their new bike to get the fork reflector crap off and it accidentally touched his cf fender, and removed a bit of the luster/clear coat.  i can't remember if i was talking to dan or ronr though... i want to say ron.

i almost forgot what i was going to say originally...  why would you want to take off the beautiful termi stiker?  it's the one sticker that i think really belongs on the bike

I'm not sure why, but I have never liked decals- brand, funny, political, etc- on my vehicles.  I once bought a new Toyota truck and spent the weekend removing the factory decals.  I really like the clean look of the machine itself.  It is a cool looking decal though...they even make one that has the Italian flag's colors on it.

dude....then you are going to *loathe* my helmet.  just fair warning.  it might drive you insane, actually.   [thumbsup]

but yeah, whatever floats your boat...clean is cool.  you're not going to mess up the c/f by taking them off... just start with something as least abrasive as possible when cleaning the adhesive as you can find...meguires car soap would be safe for sure.  if that doesn't work you could probably move on to something like wd40.

all the decals on all bikes I've removed have been with hair dryer.  the only time I used goo-gone was to remove residue from the stickers if any were left.  my frame is completely clean of stickers but the Termi sticker stayed on the pipe.  ;D

I just fitted carbon Termi's to the 696.  The stickers were huge so I replaced them with smaller ones.

The original stickers just peeled straight off no mess left behind either.  May be trickier if they have been fitted for a while.

I have a full container of Goo Gone I'd like to dedicate to McKrauts helmet.

For CF I'd try the hair dryer and maybe WD40 for residue. That cosmetic clear coat finish on my fender didn't seem to like the GG, but the WD40 I used in the past for the same kind of fender worked fine.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot when I get home.  How about bug and tar remover for any adhesive residue....or is that the same as goo-gone?

I think I got ripped off.  Hair dryers?  Goo B Gone?  The Termi stickers on my CF cans practically FELL OFF!  Had they still been on when I finally opened up the throttle the wind would have taken them off fer sher.
