Hello everybody,

Just found this site was going through the check out process on http://newenough.com got me a new cold weather jacket and they offered to make a $1 donation to a motorcycling group of my choice and low and behold... a Ducati Monster forum!

I got my 696 last year mid-summer. I think it was one of the first 696's that my dealer had in stock, it was in fact their demo bike. Every chance I get (when it peaks past 40 degrees outside...) I sneak it out > Stupid cold weather is tormenting me! I managed to put almost 3500mi on it last year before it got too cold to ride. I've been dreaming of owning my very own Ducati since the first time I laid eyes on one about 20 some years ago. I've ridden lots of other bikes but this one is far and away the most fun I've ever had on anything with two wheels. Lookin forward to getting to know folks here.

aside from the Termi's I'm not looking to do anything too drastic, Ducati finally has some decent semi rigid bags for the new Monsters so I'm going to tell my dealer to get a set in so I can see/buy them. I was thinking about a GPS and a 1" riser for the bars, nothing too crazy I really enjoy the bike as is. Who knows, I'm pretty close to Mid-Ohio and a friend of mine is going to be there this July. He's getting into vintage racing, I was thinking about finding a little single bevel drive and maybe joining him for some fun. Who knows the 696 my find some track time if I'm not careful
